Thanks Sally!

There were so many damn cameras at last weekends SSCXWC it was unbelievable. There are more pictures and videos surfacing all the time. Here is another one of those videos that just popped up, this one from one of our sponsors- Yakima. Great song selection, showing a little love for our beloved poster child for Seattle single speed cross… Sally. Shot with a Gopro camera, this edit is done with footage from behind bars.
As one of the planners of the event- it was a great experience, and though the SSCXWC will be in SF for 2011, I can say with a fair amount of certainty that it won’t be the last you hear from us at WUSS (World United Single Speeders.)
When I ride, I hear music in my head- (when I don’t ride, I hear voices.) The hit soundtrack to my life includes gems such as Bonnie Tyler’s “I need a hero,” “Walk” by Pantera, “Ride the Lightning” from Metallica, and now “My name is Mud,” from one of my high school favorites- Primus. I can’t believe that this song hasn’t crossed my mind, especially now that cross season is here. Great little edit by Burk Webb from Cross Crusade. Enjoy.

Beautiful floor display for your bike. Not sure what the tire width limit would be, but it looks like it would be great for most road/cross/touring bikes.

Thanks for the heads up Koos.
Cyclocross Magazine had a reporter around to catch the madness of the weekend and he put together some great little edits.
With Single Speed Cyclocross World Championships behind us, I can breathe a little easier now. It was a huge success- a weekend packed full of beer, racing bikes, and people riding around in costume.
Drew MacKenzie took 1st place for his third year in a row.
Walton from SF took second, with Mitch Westall in third.
Rob Kittelson snapped some great photos from before and after the main race on Sunday.

It’s been a busy week, but there were two bike thefts that you should be on the look out for.
Devon’s Bike: Stolen Tuesday (10/19) early morning in front of A Pizza Mart downtown.
Michael’s Bike: Stolen from a locked common space in his building on Sat. 10/23 between 5pm and 10am on Sunday
