Porteur to the People Photo Contest

porteur_contest_layers1

We love contests. We love cargo. We have combined the two into a contest enabling you to carry more cargo, more efficiently and with great style.

Cetma Cargo has provided us with one of their 5 Rail Porteur Racks and Swift Industries is going to be making one of their Pelican Porteur bags special for the winner. Both of these companies build quality products, built to last and handmade in the Pacific Northwest.

All you have to do is take a photo of your bike and the loads that you do or would carry with the addition of a porteur rack or bag. Then email it to Ryan.

*The fine print:

  • The contest runs until May 1st at noon- Pacific Time. Anything received later will be appreciated, but not eligible to win goodies.
  • Winners will be posted to the Swift Industries, Cetma Cargo, and Go Means Go websites.
  • We are only able to ship to North America.
  • The photo used in this flier was taken in 1955 and shows a French newspaper deliveryman taking part in a race. Porteur Racks were quite common on delivery bikes at the time and this photo is a classic. Lane from Cetma Cargo sent along a link that covers the race that this image was taken from. Read it HERE

The rack I was borrowing has been taken back by it’s owner so I am unable to porteur – the image will have to be imagined without, unless I win :D
